Roald Dahl Books - Great Stories For Your Kids

Kids truly love stories. And kids adore it when somebody takes the time to tell or read them a good story. They often have a few favourite stories that they want to hear nearly every day. That’s good, because it allows them to continuously develop the images in their head that go with the story and to use their own fantasy.

Some parents do a really great job helping their kind to develop their creativity and to allow them to have inputs other than from TV. Others are simply not aware, how important it is to further this ability of imaginativeness, invention and mental images. Video games and TV may be very parctical to keep kids occupied and out of your feet, but they are not really helping the growth of your kids mental abilities.

“I’m lacking time to read stories to my kids” you may say. That’s indeed a problem for some parents, more so if you are working at a job and if you have to take care of all the household chores after your normal work hours. That however does not mean that you can not stimulate the intellect of your kids with interesting stories. Fortunately, there are many excellent recordings of childrens books and stories for kids on the market. These audio book come either on CD in physical format or even more convenient, free audio books for kids can be downloaded from the internet and you can then either listen to them on your PC, burn them to CD and listen to them on a normal stereo or on your car audio system, or they can be directly played on an iPod.

The great thing is that many of these kids stories can be found for very little or even no money at all! The choice of audiobooks with kids adventure stories is very large and you are sure to find some audios that contain stories that your children love best.

Author Roald Dahl - Some of the more well known authors and stories are i.e. Roald Dahl and his series of well known and popular stories like i.e. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, “Matilda” or “Danny the Champion of the World”. These are the stories kids love. They are taken out of a imaginary world but contain parts that the kids can identify with in their own daily life. The descriptions of the people and places where the action takes place are detailed enough to provide the kids with a good base to start, but then the writer leaves enough room for their own fantasy. A good tale well told is really ‘cinema in the head’!

Lean back a few minutes and close your eyes. Now try to remember one of the stories that you were told when you were young, or if nobody told you a story (how sad…) try to think of a book you read then. Normally you will experience that a combination of images and even feelings will pop up in your head and you are taken back into a long forgotten fantasy world.

Be sure that your kids will be able to also experince these great recollection when they are a bit older, help them develop one of the most important mental abilities, creativity and fantasy! With a good kids audio book you can bring to fruition intellectual abilites that will be important for your kid the rest fo their life …. and you will have a lot of really happy quiet hours yourself, as the kids will listen to these tales over and over again.
