Pay Per Click And Web Design Firms Are All Over Chicago

I work for a Internet Marketing firm in Chicago. Most people would kill for a job like this, but of course, it wasn’t in my five-year plan . A lot of children grow up with unrealistic ideas of what they want to accomplish when they grow up, some achieve those dreams but most don’t . I think it is because I had unrealistic goals, or my mother smashed the realistic ones. Professional soccer or becoming a District Attorney was my only goal for life . I grew closer to my goal of professional soccer the older I got, by the time I was sixteen I made it to the Olympic Development team, by the time I was nineteen I was starting on a Division One college soccer team . My unrealistic goal of playing professional soccer was put to an end one morning when I woke up and realized that it just wasn’t in the cards for me . My realistic goal was to become a lawyer. Once I moved away to go to college I fell in love with the city of Marquette, and new that was where I wanted to be a Defense Attorney . Again, my mother interceded, saying that I didn’t have it in me to be a lawyer, all lawyers are blood sucking jerks and I am too sweet and kind to become one . My mother is my best friend so I took everything she said to heart , hence me working for a Internet Marketing firm. My mother told me that I should be a journalist, so I took a journalism class in college. I obliged her wishes, took the class, and ended up having a piece of mine on bio-medical research published, but it was too late, I didn’t have the desire to become a journalist . My freshman year of college I took Marketing 101, and met my college advisor who turned out to be the defining person in my career choices . He opened my eyes to marketing and all that encompasses the industry. He failed to mention the possibility of me working in Web Development. I resent him for that, because obviously I ended up in Pay Per Click. I think it was a great career move on my part, quitting my job as a financial analyst to become a market analyst for a Internet Marketing company . The only problem is that I wish I knew more about Web Development before coming into the position, I believe that would have made this job a lot more appealing to me, and I most likely would be higher up right now had I had prior knowledge of the subject . There are many different levels to Internet Marketing, including PPC Management and Web Development, along with blogging, posting content to various web pages, researching, analyzing, and much more.
I love the research and analytical part of my job, although those tasks are few and far between. My job mostly revolves around Internet Marketing and posting blogs and content to search engine friendly websites . Every now and then I get a twinge of guilt for not following my dream of becoming a lawyer . I am pretty sure that I would be graduating law school right about now, considering it has been two years since I graduated college. Instead of being an Assistant District Attorney, I am a market analyst at a Internet Marketing firm. I know that law school is still not out of the question, but I feel as if I have been out of school too long and that the LSAT would be a lot harder now than it would have been two years ago . My study skills left me the second I threw that cap off my head, and I no longer have the spare time to study that I did in college . I wish I did, because I know that once I put my mind to something I am great at what I do. Take soccer for an example. I think if I hadn’t lost the drive to go pro my junior year of college, I would have made it. I had such “potential”, according to my coaches, to be great. I don’t know why I didn’t have the heart anymore. One day I just woke up after twenty one years of playing the sport every day and realized that I just didn’t want to do it anymore. I didn’t have a normal childhood, I was traveling every summer until I was sixteen with the national softball team, and every fall I played travel soccer and ran cross-country, every spring I played soccer, softball and ran track for my high school. I begged my parent’s for gymnastics, I loved the endurance and agility of the sport and it was all about me, which I loved as well . When I turned sixteen I was offered a spot on the Olympic Development team and dropped gymnastics like an old habit . Long story short, this is how I ended up working as a market analyst for a Internet Marketing firm that deals with PPC Management and Web Development.
