Unique Wedding Favors - A Thoughtful Thank You

Wedding organizing can be a terrible experience. Who has time to even think about what to give as a wedding favor? And how vital is it anyway; it just sits there on the guest’s table. Should I even worry about which one to purchase? I’ll just overlook it and do it when I have time.

Wedding favors, although commonly thought about like the above statement, are not an afterthought. The unique wedding favors that you give your guests are a thought of you and your future spouse and what you really think of your guests. You many not agree, but even so it is true.

Wedding Favors have been a thoughtful part of bridal showers and weddings for hundreds of years. A couple of centuries ago, a wedding was judged by what was given to the guests. An old wife’s tale says that if your guests adore your unique wedding favors you will have a happy marriage. If they don’t, well, let’s not discuss that!

Of course when you have such pressing tasks as finding a venue for your reception, what gown to choose, band or DJ and who will be on your guest list, why even give much thought to the wedding favors. And yes, we agree that you should take care of the aforsaid list before you concern yourself with wedding favors. But don’t put it off until the end. Then it will become an issue and a huge frustration that you will not need when you only have a couple of weeks left before the wedding.

When couples whine that they don’t have time to find wedding favors, I ask them this question; when you go to a wedding, what is the very initial thing you look at when you sit down at your table? Unavoidably everyone says, “Wedding favors!” I rest my case.

So what do you do about these infamous wedding favors? While taking care of the ‘more important’ areas of your wedding, keep a attentive eye out for unique wedding favors that may be ideal for your special day. They are everywhere; in bridal gown shops, florists and every place that you will visit that has something to do with weddings. Try to multi-task, always keeping your eye out for the most precise wedding favors to say a big thank you to your guests for sharing in one of the most eventful and extraordinary days of your life. Wedding favors are very important to your guests. Wedding favors should be important to you too.
