I am speaking from experience as it wasn’t that long ago that I had a real debt problem that I am only just getting over. Money problems never happen overnight and my situation was no different. I love to make homemade goodies. I do this year round. I will bake a pie or cake and then call the neighbors to see if they want to come over to share. I purchased some generic molds that can be used for any holiday. I also have specific molds for Christmas Easter and Thanksgiving. I also bought the molds that are shaded like turtles, so that I can make my own chocolate caramel, and pecan turtles. The store had the caramel filling for this and it is very tasty. The store also has a wonderful assortment of boxes, bags and other storage containers to place the candies in for serving or for gift giving. My friends and family members enjoy getting the treats as gifts. They are a bit time consuming to make but the chocolate molds make things quite easy. I find for the candies that I make the most I buy two or three of the molds so that I can have one in the freezer while I am filling the next.
