I think that mastiffs are the best dogs in the world! There is nothing more fun the having a big dog. The temperament of the big dog is hands down superior to that of a little yelper dog. Of course there are downsides to owning a bog dog but in my mind the good outweighs the bad. Lets make a little list off the top of my head that shows the good and the bad.

The Good:

Mastiffs are very cool looking dogs. They are very loyal and loving. They have the “big dog temperament” which is to say they are relaxed and mellow. They do not have tons of fur so you are not following them around with a vacuum where ever you go. And they are very intimidating looking so they make great protectors with none of the downside of actually training them to be mean.

The Bad:

They are HUGE dogs. This means that they intake and outtake food on a grand scale! One would think that you need a huge yard for this monstrously large dog but they are right at home in an apartment. Just make sure you walk them. They do drool so if you are not into the drooler then maybe the mastiff is not for you.
