Movies As An Escape From Reality

Watching movies has continued to become the favorite past time of students and working professionals. In spite of the dramatic increase of the prices of movies, this does not hinder people from taking that needed movie break. Perhaps, you are one of those who eagerly line up just to get the best seats in box office hits. You and your friends have probably competed with other group of friends just to be among the first ones to watch Sex and the City in the big screen. You might have experienced the same thing when you lined up to watch Prince Caspian or Kung Fu Panda.

Movies have a great way of taking you into another reality. If you have been constantly bugged at work or have been bombarded with office issues, relaxing at the movies is a great escape. For at least two hours, you forget about your problems, and you just focus on the leading man/lady of the film. You laugh your hearts out, cry a river, or get so scared with the monster in the film. You let yourself experience the most intense feelings even for just a short period of time. This can lead to an emotional exercise where you are able to work out your lungs and your heart.

If you have loved Jackie Chan’s character in Forbidden Kingdom, you probably are thinking of suggesting a hip flask that he can use in the film. The fact is, if you are an avid movie-goer, you become so engrossed in the film that you try to acquire little items that will remind you of such movie.

To avoid the inconvenience of queuing at the ticket booths, you make use of the online reservation system offered by most cinemas. Just be sure to always have your money secured when going to the movies so you would not encounter any problem. This can be done by using money clips, instead of ordinary wallets. After all, the last thing that you need when going to the movies is lost money.

If you are a little short of money, you can still enjoy your favorite movies through their DVDs. With the rampant piracy problems, DVDs have lowered their prices to make them more affordable to the viewing public. By watching DVDs at home or at a friend’s house, you can still enjoy the movie with less expense.
