Anniversary Gift - Show That You Care
It’s always a little bit tough to pick out the perfect Anniversary Gift for my wife. You see, we do something special for the anniversary every year. A sort of informal agreement was agreed upon. We each take turns to surprise each other. On our anniversary last year, she surprised me with a trip to Hawaii. To this day, I’m still puzzled where she got the money, but apparently she had been scrimping and saving for quite a while. The trip was the best anniversary gift that I ever received, without a doubt.

An anniversary gift she won’t forget
This year though, I don’t have as much money for anniversary gifts for her. I have only put away a couple hundred dollars – not enough and a mere pittance compared to a tropical vacation getaway for two. Nonetheless, I want to surprise her with something very special. I know there are a bunch of anniversary gift ideas, but just picking out one thing is not enough.
When picking a wedding anniversary present, for me, presentation is as important as the present itself. Everything should go together perfectly for it be right. It would not be enough to just put a ring in a box and wrap it up, if I decided to give her one. Maybe I would have her go on a scavenger hunting trip, where she gets the ring as the last prize. Or perhaps leave the ring to a place and find it where she leasts expect it, say, on the table or on her night stand. As long as it really charms her, it doesn’t matter exactly what the surprise is.
An anniversary gift that counts
Of course, handmade ones are sometimes the best gifts for anniversaries and special occasions. A few years ago, I made her a book. Not just any book. It was all about us and our relationship, the book was a collection of poetry, photos, and pictures. It was done in beautiful calligraphy and it was handmade. To hear her say that she was blown away by it would be understating the case. She was absolutely shocked and in awe. She adored and loved it. She still keeps it on her bedside table even to this day.
The right anniversary card can also make a huge difference. Don’t just stop by a convenience store before the event to look for anniversary cards – find one that is very special. After all, if you put all that thought into the anniversary gift, why not extend the thought with the anniversary card, right? If you don’t, it looks like you have let yourself and your wife down.
