Free Copywriting Course tips – 10 Ways To Propel Visitors To Your Order Page
For a complete step by step internet copywriting course by Bob Serling go to www.copywritingtip.com, this 32 step program will have you writing million dollar advertising and sales letters.
1. Write your ad copy like you’re talking directly to your visitors. Use the words “you”, “your”, and “you’re” a lot in your ad copy. By making your advertising copy sound like your talking personally to the reader it will build rapport with your visitors.
2. Visit business discussion boards regularly. You could discover helpful advice, online resources and give your own two cents worth. By networking on discussion boards you will pick up tips and techniques that have worked for others and save yourself time and money by not making the mistakes they may have made themselves.
3. Gain free advertising by listing your business info in your chat room profile. Most chat rooms allow this, but check their rules to be sure. chat rooms and forums are great places to find targeted visitors.
By using your signature link or filling out the profile form with your website details, users of the chat room or forum can see that you have something to offer related to their interests. Just don’t spam the rooms with blatant check this out its great messages.
Just participate and be helpful and people will seek you out as an authority. Remember word of mouth is powerful advertising and the users of these places will spread the word for you if you can offer a solution to their problems.
4. Let people know about your affiliate program. Submit it to numerous affiliate program directories, announce it in your e-zine, put it in your sig file, etc. Search Google for “affiliate directory” and you will find loads of directories.
5. Tell your visitors exactly what you want them to do at your web site. You may want them to order products, subscribe to your ezine, etc. don’t assume you visitor knows what you want them to do, what is obvious to you may not be to them, if fact its worth getting some friends and family to visit your site without telling them what its about or what you want them to do and see what feedback you get.
It may they were not sure what you offering, or the links to click on to sign up to a newsletter or buy a product were not clear. Perhaps they were unsure about buying as it wasn’t clear if their payment details would be secure. All these things may be clear to you but not your visitors.
6. Focus your site on your visitor’s desires, not on yourself. They want to know what’s in it for them, not that you won an award for your business. Tell your visitors why they need what you have to offer, what its for or what problem it solves, how it helps and benefits them and lastly what they can do with the information or product to give them an advantage or fix a problem, i.e. lose weight, fix acne, save time, save money, be healthier, cure shyness, whatever it is your offering what’s in it for them.
7. Try not to get caught up in loading your site with technological gizmos and gadgets. Concentrate on your words; they will do the actual selling. Bells and whistles and flashing images and popup’s all distract from the page visit, keep it simple and keep it relevant.
Not all computers have the same setup you do, flash images and JavaScript code may not work on someone else’s machine, a bad experience with a page loading or if the visitor thinks your trying to install malware will lose you a sale and cause a bad experience that may end up getting you bad mouthed in the very chat rooms or forums you are trying to appear as an expert in.
8. Create your own ad copy; don’t copy the basic run of the mill ad copy. Don’t be afraid of trying something different to increase your sales. Be original but at the same time tried and tested formats are worth sticking to, just try to give them your own spin that’s relevant to your product.
9. Change you ads regularly. Your prospects can get bored seeing the same ad all the time. They usually see the ad 7 times before they actually buy. Split test ads in different places and use some sort of tracking on the links so you know where the clicks from the ads are coming from this will help to remove poor performing ads and focus on the places and ads that convert to visitors and sales.
10. Lower your negative word of mouth marketing. You’ll always have customers that are dissatisfied. Try to please them as much as possible. Give your purchases some sort of way to give feedback so if they are dissatisfied them at least you can help them as soon as possible rather than have them spread bad feeling on the net. Nowadays all it takes is one person to send a message to all their friends on Facebook or Myspace and the word soon spreads.
