When games were first introduced in the computer they were basically text based games. As technology advanced, graphic computer games came into picture with enhanced sounds. Games were soon played by multiple layers simultaneously on a local network. But as the internet expanded and assumed global significance, online games can be played online.

Today we see many people of all age groups play online games from the comforts of their own. Nowadays Java based as well as Flash based online games are very common. You may need a Java plug-in or a Flash player plug-in to play the games.

You can contribute your own games to online gaming sites. You can use Flash to make these games and then submit them to the online gaming sites. In case the sites like your games, then the site will upload your online game. There is vast potential for online game developers as more and more people are getting hooked to this online games phenomenon.
