Saturday, September 20th, 2008Piano lamps are a great addition to the top of any piano. The first design use candles to illuminate the surface. The candles provided a beautiful appearance to the largest performance halls down to the beginning childhood piano lessons. The downside was the glare that the light gave off. The unstable light increased eyestrain. Electricity led to the creation of the light bulb, which helped lead to the invention of the modern day piano lamp. The piano lamp became very popular as it could display light from several different angles increasing the grand experience for the player. A piano lamp will complete the appearance of any room décor, dramatically increasing the look and feel of the smallest concert halls.
When choosing a piano lamp there are several different designs and styles to choose from. A lot will be determined by personal preference of the style and deign of the piano light. Choosing the right finish will also help compliment any room. When choosing a piano lamp a consumer must decide which piano light works best for them|There are several different choices for each consumer. It comes down what will look and function that are the best[/spin]. Here are some of the style and designs that I personally like the best.
The Desk Piano Lamp is the most practical in many situations. The desk piano lamp is adjustable at both the base and the top of the stem giving the user several different lighting configurations to choose from. With the longer 14” shade it will give the user ample glare free light on any surface. There are several different finishes that will add beauty to the room.
LED Piano Lamps have become more popular because of its design. LED stands for light-emitting diode. It has become very popular because of its slim design and electric cost savings. The LED light bulb is a lot smaller than a traditional bulb giving it the ability to be developed in slimmer, low profile design. Another added feature is that a LED piano light is more cost effective to run and will last much longer than a traditional light bulb.
Another popular design is the Counter Balance Piano Lamp. It has become a top choice because of its rich appearance. I really like this one as it gives you all of the advantage of a desk lamp but adding a beautiful flare to any décor. The attractive base and flexible swivel add to the overall lighting capabilities.
One of the coolest designs that I have seen is the Polished Brass Treble Piano Lamp. The lamp has a high quality polished brass finish. The finish will compliment any room décor. The piano lamp has a very nice look with a Treble Clef on the stem of the unit. With a height of 15 ½” this lamp will give ample glare free light to any musical score. This unique piano light will please the music lover at heart with its attractive design. This piano light is definitely one of the coolest lights that I ever seen.

The Mamma Mia Broadway Show
Sunday, August 24th, 2008Mamma Mia is a wonderful play, comprising of hit songs by the Swedish Group ABBA. The play tells the story of a single mother preparing for her daughter’s marriage. Meanwhile she comes across three men that may or may not be the girl’s father. The Mamma Mia Broadway show is in its sixth successful year. It is a wonderful watch for kids in the middle school, high school and college. It is especially a treat for ABBA fans. The musical runs for 2 hours 30 minutes with a 15 minutes intermission. It has to be screened at the Winter Garden Theater.

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008If you are unfamiliar with modern furniture, the term may conjure up images of the Jetsons. You may feel that the only way to utilize modern pieces is in a retro-1960s design. However, many modern items flow well with other furniture styles to create a harmonious yet eclectic design.
When designing any room, remember the concept of unity. A room can be unified through the use of repeated colors, shapes or materials. Even if the furniture is drawn from wildly different styles, unity can still be found.
Look for the focal point for each room. The focal point is a piece that naturally draws the eye. A large item such as a couch is a natural focal point, but an unusually shaped piece, such as a modern coffee table, could also be a focal point. Be careful to choose only one or two for each room. The rest of the furniture should support and balance the focal point.
If you like the look of a modern piece, do not shy away simply because your other furniture is not modern. Use the tips above to blend the modern item into virtually any room.

Let’s first define what car trackers are… The capability is all about finding the location of something on the face of this earth. I will provide the short answer of the way it functions.
A constellation of gps systems orbiting around our planet take measurements, in concert, of where the tracking device is. And that information is beamed back to earth, to either the product or to a service provider. Now why would you want to be able to know where someone or something is? Gps Tracking Systems that are passive means you can’t follow the location of the vehicle as it moves, only after ward.
Those who are in the direct category means you have access to information on it’s location directly in the moment so you can adjust and do what you need to do accordingly, in time critical situations.

What is a PocketMod?
