It all depends on the area of infection and the symptoms would vary accordingly. If the infection occurs in the vagina then the woman would feel a burning sensation accompanied by a vaginal discharge which is thick and white or thin and watery. The most frequent symptom for oral thrush would be some thick white patches on top of swollen red skin in the mouth. The area becomes very sensitive, though it may not itch like outer skin infections, it can even bleed when the white part is removed. Eating and drinking thus becomes painful and children with this infection must drink lots of water.

As a parent you should always remain alert for the signs and symptoms of yeast infections. Although this may not be anything too dangerous, it could become complicated if you leave it just like that.
