The Hottest Piano Lamp You Ever Did See

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

Piano lamps are a great addition to the top of any . The first design use candles to illuminate the surface. The candles provided a beautiful appearance to the largest performance halls down to the beginning childhood lessons. The downside was the glare that the light gave off. The unstable light increased eyestrain. Electricity led to the creation of the light bulb, which helped lead to the invention of the modern day lamp. The lamp became very popular as it could display light from several different angles increasing the grand experience for the player. A lamp will complete the appearance of any room décor, dramatically increasing the look and feel of the smallest concert halls.

When choosing a piano lamp there are several different designs and styles to choose from. A lot will be determined by personal preference of the style and deign of the light. Choosing the right finish will also help compliment any room. When choosing a lamp a consumer must decide which light works best for them|There are several different choices for each consumer. It comes down what will look and function that are the best[/spin]. Here are some of the style and designs that I personally like the best.

The Desk Lamp is the most practical in many situations. The desk lamp is adjustable at both the base and the top of the stem giving the user several different lighting configurations to choose from. With the longer 14” shade it will give the user ample glare free light on any surface. There are several different finishes that will add beauty to the room.

LED Lamps have become more popular because of its design. LED stands for light-emitting diode. It has become very popular because of its slim design and electric cost savings. The LED light bulb is a lot smaller than a traditional bulb giving it the ability to be developed in slimmer, low profile design. Another added feature is that a LED light is more cost effective to run and will last much longer than a traditional light bulb.

Another popular design is the Counter Balance Lamp. It has become a top choice because of its rich appearance. I really like this one as it gives you all of the advantage of a desk lamp but adding a beautiful flare to any décor. The attractive base and flexible swivel add to the overall lighting capabilities.

One of the coolest designs that I have seen is the Polished Brass Treble Lamp. The lamp has a high quality polished brass finish. The finish will compliment any room décor. The lamp has a very nice look with a Treble Clef on the stem of the unit. With a height of 15 ½” this lamp will give ample glare free light to any musical score. This unique light will please the music lover at heart with its attractive design. This piano light is definitely one of the coolest lights that I ever seen.

Top Odd Requests For Grand Piano Cover Cover Patterns

Friday, August 8th, 2008

Over the years I have received some peculiar requests from people with request for making a piano cover that will becovering much more than pianos. The requests have been to cover either odd items or odd patterns to cover a grand . I have taken a few moments to list some of my favorites in the paragraphs that follow.

Dog House Cover. A woman in Illinios called and asked if we could make a custom fitted, waterproof cover that could fit the specifications of her dog house. She and her husband were having a disagreement about their ability to keep their dog as an inside dog because of the damage the dog had done in recent weeks to their belongings when they were both at work during the day. The solution was to leave the dog outside all day but she was concerned about the winter weather (both cold and rain) and wanted us to make a cover that would enclose her dog house. We were able to talk her out of it and to get her to upgrade her dog house to one that is more weather appropriate and we did not hear back from them again.

Team Logos. We have lots of requests to put spin]professional|college[/spin]team logos on covers. We can put them on the front part of the cover, directly above the keys, we can make the grand piano cover with the logo on the side of the cover and we can place them in a more prominent setting directly on the top of the . The logo requests are relatively easy to do because most of the time we can get pretty good artwork for the logos. The tricky part of the request is when people ask us to dye the cover to match the team colors. We have done them in Black and Red, Blue and Gold, Red and White and even Purple and Yellow. Dyeing a cover can be pretty expensive, but the covers did look terrific.

House Décor. Probably the most common reason for an unconventional upright piano cover is when the customer wants a cover to match the décor of a certain room in their house. These are the types of clients who tend to not have finaincial limitations so they are willing to pay a good deal of money to get what they are after. Some of the most memorable have been pink and green colors, family plaid patterns, very cool designs for terrific recital sections of the house and even requests to make a cover that will match the pattern of a couch or love seat.

We can meet particular needs but the customers need to remember that these custom covers take additional time and many times will cost five to eight times the cost of a traditional cover. Personally, I am partial to a traditional black or brown vinyl cover, but I have never been considered a trendy kind of guy.
